Top 5 ways to bring Spring to your table top

Top 5 ways to bring Spring to your table top

Elliott Malcolm |

Spring has well and truly sprung, with warmer weather and fresh produce. The new season brings the opportunity to weave Spring throughout your venue with some simple and effective ideas.

If you're anything like us, you'd be pumped for the next few months as more people are out and about enjoying the warm Spring air! So now is the time to get organised.

Here are our top five ways to bring a little Spring into your venue without breaking the budget.

1. Mix blue, white and gold

Soft blues, whites and gold are a colour palette made in heaven. Mix different patterns of blue together, add in some inspired pastels, and finish with gold flatware.

You could add interest and use plates that are unique in shape, like our modern Triangular Plate in Duck Egg Blue or choose vintage with the Rose Chintz Plates - whatever your taste, layering and mixing colours will give you a luxe table setting in a snap.

2. Get creative with seasonal flowers

There’s a reason that flowers are one of the most common table centerpieces - they lighten and brighten any room. You don’t need to spend a fortune on flowers to make pretty centerpieces, by using seasonal flowers in unique vessels.

From carnations in a vintage tumbler, to daisies in an old (clean) tomato can, to a single flower in a bud vase, think sparing yet pretty.

3. Bring a little nature inside

By playing with natural elements you can create a rustic, warm ambiance.

A white napkin tied with twine holding a sprig of herbs is effective (and memorable). Or maybe add little plants, or pop a vase filled with lemons onto a table - all of these cheap and easy ideas are visually impressive and bring nature to a table.

4. Highlight Spring colours with monochrome

If you love the style of black and white, this can be tweaked to create warmth for Spring.

Imagine a white tablecloth, white napkins, white pebble plates, black cutlery, and to add the Spring pops of colour, use a single bright flower tied to each napkin then placed in the centre of the plate. Or add in a completely contrasting colour using water glasses with our bright rock tumblers.

Creating a softened monochromatic space is relaxing for guests, and can tie in beautifully with Spring.

5. Update your drinks menu

Cool, refreshing drinks will now be in demand, so open those windows, let the fresh air in and start making your favourite custom sodas and iced teas!

To complete the magic, we recommend you present your drink creations in style using these glass carafes and timeless drinking glasses. Plus add some cold table water to the table in these stylish glass water bottles.
